Dr Tong is an MD and immunologist with extensive research experience in Sweden, China and Australia. She joined the group of Prof Richard Ferrero at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and Monash University as a postdoctoral researcher in Sep 2021, and her current work focuses on an innate immune protein NLRC5. She is investigating how NLRC5 mediates anti-tumour immunity against the development of gastric B cell MALT lymphoma induced by Helicobacter infection.
